This adoption guide is another great resource for recent or potential adopters.

loose greyhound!

If a greyhound owns you, please read this article! This provides valuable advice about what to do if your greyhound would get loose.
Did you ever wonder what the first few years of a greyhound's life is like? Read this article to see.

Greyhound community:

The Greyhound-List is a greyhound email list. There is no cost to join. You can post questions and read others posts about behavior, medical, and care issues, resources, and discussion topics.
Greytalk is a message board devoted to greyhounds. This is also the home of the Greyhound Amber Alert. If your greyhound gets loose, post the information here. Also take some time to read the pinned article in this forum about finding a lost greyhound.

Lineage, littermates, and racing info:

Greyhound-Data will show you your greyhound's lineage, littermates, and sometimes, racing information.

You can try to find the families who adopted your greyhound's littermates. The list is limited in size, but give it a try. You never know! You can add yourself and your greyhound(s) to the list so if anyone searches for your hound, you'll be contacted.
If you'd like to officially transfer the ownership of your greyhound from the former owner to yourself, you can follow the directions on the link that says "pet certificate." Of course the greyhound you adopted is yours and you don't need to do this, but if you transfer ownership, your greyhound will be traceable to you through his or her tattoo numbers.
